Amanda Bossard was just out of high school when she started her marine biology education at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard began her career in the commercial seafood industry in the year 1999. That year she worked in Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat. It was transformed into a fish tender. Bossard has been married Aritan. The couple has united and claim the respective businesses. Both are advocates of saving and maximizing the use of natural resources that are used in the fishing industry. Otolith is a wholesale direct seafood company, was established in the year 2007 by Bella Bossard (age three), Andre Bossard (1 year old) and Bossard's mother. Bossard had returned to Philadelphia after having two young children. Its name is a sweet recall of her extensive expertise in fish biology as well as her husband's extensive involvement to the industry of seafood, often leaving them separated for five months or more when they are focused on their the environment and financial goals that reflect both their independence and dedication to the community in which they reside. Bossard's children Isabella aged 12 and son Andre, age 10, return annually each year to Southeast Alaska to work in the position of deckhand throughout the salmon wild season. Following two years of fishing hooks, lines and a 42-foot salmon trolling machine they have joined Aritan and were sold to local seafood processors. Amanda Bossard was hired as anchor for News 12/MMJ and News 12 Anchor/MMJ and News 12 Brooklyn in November 2015.
